旬の食材 ~ナス~


Summer eggplants. How moist they are! They are larger than those caught in the winter, and the purple surface is very glossy. The fruit is so tight that the oil and flavor are drawn into the eggplant. Grilled, fried, simmered, pickled. Whatever you do with them, they are wonderful. I am sure I will be eating eggplant for the next few months.
